Challenge Yourself Question 2.

Question: The tens digit of a two-digit number is 5 more than the units digit. The number formed by reversing the digits is 128 less than twice the original number. Find the original number.

Answer: 83
Step 1: We read the question over 5 times to understand the problem thoroughly and undertand what the question required.
Step 2: We decided to use graphs at first, but it didn't work out properly. So we decided on trial and error.
Step 3: We listed all the possible numbers and tried them out.
Step 4: We tried using 83 as the original number and it worked. We think trial and error worked very well whereas the diagrams didn't really work.
